The benefit of the suite is that it creates a pre-integrated point and click environment that allows researchers to utilize the processing power of multiple machines on their network, without having to be cluster experts. Some of the most commonly used life science open source applications pre-integrated with the suite are BLAST, HMMER, EMBOSS, mpiBLAST, MrBayes, Glimmer, ClustalW and T-Coffee.
